German importers and successful Spanish wineries closer
BASF promote commercial meeting between importers of wine from Germany and winning wineries national blind tasting contest in Vina Experience BASF-Catatalentos 2015 in Barcelona on April 15 .With this event provides an opportunity for wineries to market their wines in Germany.
Spain is the largest producer of wine in the world, but domestic consumption is at record lows and marketing abroad is costly and complex especially for small wineries and medium.
Aware of the high quality of the wines produced in the country and the difficulties that producers are for marketing, BASF launches in 2013 the national competition Experience BASF in Viña-Catatalentos, whose main prize, and more valued by wineries, it is a commercial meeting with German importers of wine. The meeting is part of the award that have chosen the winning wineries contest.
The wineries that will participate in the meeting come from different parts of the country, belong to different denominations of origin and have been winners in different categories, highlighting fortified wines Bodegas Juan Piñero, San Lucar de Barrameda and Bodegas Cesar Florido, Chipiona; in cellars Bodegas Vallformosa Grup, of Vilobi del Penedes and Bodegas Torello Llopart, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia; Bodegas blank Mocén, Rueda; Young red Olmaza Bodegas in La Rioja; and Red Crianza wine cellars and vineyards Gancedo, Leon, Bodegas San Dionisio, Albacete and Bodega Castelo de Medina, Valladolid.
Among importers, it highlights the participation of Marc-Oliver Heilos responsible shopping store specializing in wine BASF in Ludwigshafen, the company headquarters in Germany. This shop is the sixth largest importing country which is a unique opportunity for the winners.
