In a context in which the irrigation electricity bill has soared 1,000% in the past eight years in Spain, what impact will the creation of the trans-European energy network is developing the European Union? The answers to this and other questions at the Technical FENACORE Day on 31 March in Madrid.
Spanish Agriculture Minister, Isabel García Tejerina, opens on March 31 a sector conference organized by the National Federation of Irrigators (FENACORE). This event, which will be closed by the Director General of Water, Liana Ardiles and general director of Rural Development, Begoña Nieto, will address the challenges that irrigation is facing a time when efficiency is pursued not only in the saving water but also energy.
In a context in which the irrigation electricity bill has soared 1,000% in the past eight years, what impact will the creation of the trans-European energy network is developing the European Union? A common energy market will allow to realize self-production in Spain that have been asking irrigators to reduce costs? Will it make possible to advance the modernization of irrigation according to this double efficiency: water and energy?
We invite you to ask directly about these and other current issues drawing the conclusion of this meeting, which will also feature in the presence of President of FENACORE, Andrés del Campo. During the day, various experts will also discuss aspects of relief for the sector as the need to advance the safety regulations for irrigation ponds or new technological solutions for sustainable irrigation.
