Adama demonstrates the effectiveness of its herbicide and fungicide in Quintanaortuño Country Day (Burgos)
On the occasion of his participation in the field day organized annually by its distributor in Burgos, Terrastar, ADAMA Agriculture Spain has had the opportunity to try, with a practical demonstration to attendees farmers, the good results obtained with the herbicide Trinity® and the fungicide Epopee® in wheat and barley during this campaign.
So, on the ground, farmers have been able to check the status of wheats and baited obtained after the use of ADAMA solutions in a particularly wet year, “Trinity® is a herbicide pre-emergence or early post-emergence this year has given very good results. with herbs that are in the area, almost with a treatment we obtained free of adventitious fields. Where is treated Trinity® will not see a poppy “said Noah Feijoo, Marketing Operational of ADAMA Agriculture Spain in the North Central Zone.
Another solution used in these fields has been the demonstration Epopee® fungicide to control rusts, Rincosporium, Helmitosporium, Septoria … “Normally with a single treatment, before or just after the flag leaf emergence, it is sufficient for the control of this type of fungus”, Feijoo said. “In years like this, especially rainy, plays to two treatments in some plots. The result is that cereals are perfectly free from disease, very green and very healthy,” he declared.
Feijoo stressed that the health of the flag leaf and the two following guarantees 90% of the filling of the pin. Thus, farmers have been able to see firsthand the results obtained with these solutions, according to event organizers, they have made the crops have been profitable and healthy.
The field day organized by Terrastar in Quintanaortuño registered a participation of about 180 farmers who were able to see the results of the various solutions on demonstration fields of grain and rapeseed.
The event was attended by the commercial director of Adama in Spain and Portugal, Jaime Robredo, who praised such initiatives: “This day is particularly interesting because of the conjunction of two wills, of Terrastar and Adama, ranging in transmitting knowledge to the farmer who is very receptive to this format, here he or she can see, compare, question, play … and that’s a very important part of communication”, he aimed.
During the presentation of the day, the manager of Terrastar, Carlos Peña, has reported on the significant reduction of molecules for plant protection uses that will gradually occur over the next few years, so the difficulty of managing herbs adds adventitious: “The fields are no longer oats, ryegrass or do not have or do not have bromine, or do not have it all together … it comes ryegrass there is no product that does well all Single pass and do everything.. is over, you can not work like this, “he stressed. He also invited the pursuit of efficiency from crop rotation, rational use of herbicides (working in pre- and early post-emergence) and the preventive use of fungicides.
