Food Chain Partnership with Bayer gathers farmers at Fruit Logistica
The debate on the challenges, present and future of the food chain and the exchange of experiences between producers in other countries are the main objectives of Bayer at Fruit Logistica 2016, which takes place in Berlin from 3 to 5 February. A delegation of the partners that will form part of Bayer Food Chain Partnership (FCP) and some of the main distributors of the company in the Iberian Peninsula.
Mathias Kremer, Crop Strategies & Portfolio Management, and Mehdia Mounir, Food Chain Manager EMEA, will receive the Spanish delegation at the stand of the company. Subsequently, they will participate in the forum organized by Bayer under the title: “Food Chain Partnership Bayer: united to help the food chain to meet the present and future challenges.” The meeting, which seeks to consolidate the presence of FCP Bayer among key industry players in one of the most important international competitions, will focus on discussing current trends in agriculture and food production. In addition, it is outlining how Bayer can collaborate with producers through its FCP to successfully meet these challenges.
The Forum will be divided into four papers: Digital Farming, by Ben Horsbrugh (Univeg) and Dr. Thomas Schilling (BCS Digital Farming Team); Bayer ForwardFarming: Demonstration of sustainable agriculture in practice, given by Damien Chombart (Bayer ForwardFarm Bordeaux Chateau Lamothe); and Dr. Klaus Kirsch (BCS ForwardFarming); The statement of Abu Dhabi, a new approach to expand the safe and sustainable agriculture, presented by Dr. Kristian Möller (GLOBALG.A.P) and Ronald Guendel (BCS PGA); and collaborate on innovation to ensure global food supply, raised by Dr. Tim Anglea (Coca-Cola) and Kai Wirtz (BCS Horticulture)
Finally, there will be a meeting at the stand of Bayer with other delegations of the company and members of Food Chain Partnership Bayer worldwide, with different forms and philosophies of work, exchange ideas and share best experiences in production food sustainably.
