Alliance by Yokohama-ATG (Y-ATG) announces it presence at LAMMA 2025 in Birmingham
Alliance by Yokohama-ATG (Y-ATG) announces it presence at LAMMA 2025 in Birmingham, spreading their Agriflex+ tire range, now including the Agriflex+ 363 XT, making all their features of reducing soil impact and increasing longevity available in a row crop tire.
The challenge in this segment is particularly great: Sprayers have been carrying more and more weight as liquid fertilizer becomes more popular – and they have to travel longer distances as UK contractors have been enlarging their customer basis, making roadability of their tires a must at the same time. Alliance by Yokohama-ATG (Y-ATG) are rich in features which allow them to fulfill both of these contradicting objectives at the same time:
- A bridged lug tread design, combining the advantages of smooth road travel and the ability to provide traction at low tire pressures in the field
- A D Speed Rating
- VF (Very High Flexion) Technology to allow for 40% less tire pressure at the same weight – while equipped with a steel belt protecting against punctures
Multi-Axle Slurry Applicators to become Soil Friendly
Recently, Yokohama-ATG (Y-ATG) have also released the Agriflex+ 377 XT, ranging from 650 mm to 1050 mm tire width. With this, Y-ATG have made their tech features available to multi-axle, self-propelled slurry applicators. Tires that run smooth on the road, but can work on the field at very low pressures are particularly important in this area too. Slurry applicators easily reach the maximum legal weight of 31 t and are mostly run by contractors who need to reach their clients’ fields by road.
Agri Star II Tires to Reach Sales Milestone in Europe
This month Y-ATG will announce a major milestone in sales of the Agri Star II product range, just four years after its launch. These tires maintain traction even as the tread gets worn throughout the lifecycle, applying the Stratified Layer Technology. The top layer of lug comes with a single-angle, the bottom layer with a multi-angle profile, leading to the right amount of soil contact at any point of time in the lifecylce.
Farm Influencer Olly Harrison Confirms Technological Advantages of Y-ATG Tires
Alliance by Yokohama-ATG (Y-ATG) come with a number of tech perks for modern farm machinery – and contractor & agri influencer Olly Harrison has been testing them in action for a whole season now. Olly, based in Merseyside, has already confirmed the positive impact of the VF (very high flexion) technology in the Alliance tires mounted to his Fendt tractors. They enable the machines to carry the same weight at 40% less tire pressure, thus enlarging the tire contact area to the soil and reducing pressure per square inch. This both saves fuel for the machinery and keeps the soil from getting compacted, generating more crop growth for free.
Since the field day on his farm last October which demonstrated these benefits, he has also become more impressed with the longevity aspects of the Alliance Tire product range thanks to the Stratified Layer Technology. The tires maintain their level of traction even as the tread gets worn throughout its lifetime. “It is a lot smarter than what it first looks like”, Olly comments.
