New Chair Bioinsecticides Idai Nature
The company Idai Nature has signed an agreement for the creation of the Chair “Bioinsecticides IDAI NATURE” to be held at the School of Agronomists of Valencia Polytechnic University of Valencia and will be directed by Professor of the Department. Plant Production, Salvador López Galarza. The purpose of the chair will be the promotion and development of research of botanical extracts with biopesticide activity for the treatment of pests.
Idai Nature investigate through the blend of botanical extracts with biopesticide activity to create innovative natural solutions that allow the cultivation of fruit and vegetables without chemical residues that are harmful to the health of people. With the signing of this Chair intends to continue firmly committed to the “continuous innovation in a sustainable manner and from a respectful perspective to people and the environment,” said Carlos Ledo, Founder and CEO of IDAI NATURE.
Both the company and the UPV Idai Nature undertake through this agreement to perform activities of general interest in this area. Specifically, the Chair will promote training activities such as collaborative master’s degrees and other educational activities, collaboration in the design and delivery of lifelong learning programs, predoctoral and postdoctoral scholarships, awards to projects of end of career, work and ideas competitions, conferences, seminars and workshops, promotion of internships in companies and institutions, collaboration in training plans of the company and company visits.
Outreach and knowledge transfer as conducting technical seminars and technological dissemination, publications on topics of interest in the field of the Chair and classroom, as well as promoting scientific and technical developments will also be developed.
At the signing ceremony attended by Francisco José Mora, Rector of the UPV; José Millet, CEO of Entrepreneurship and Employment in the Basque Director; Salvador Lopez, CEO of Energy Efficiency and Environment Director and Professor of the Department of Plant Production at UPV; Alberto San Bautista, Director of the ETSEAMN; Gabriel García, Deputy Director of Corporate Relations, Employment and Entrepreneurship of ETSEAMN; Germán Guillem, Director of Export IDAI NATURE and Carlos Ledo, CEO and CEO of IDAI NATURE; Carlos Ledó Nature Idai founded in 2009, his extensive business experience has always been linked with the importance of food safety and environmental care. Idai means Developments Agricultural Research and Innovative as to “meet the needs of crops natural and sustainable way we need to pursue R & D + i” stressed Ledó.
The Chair also includes the development of research and development in chairs as the development of joint research lines or cooperation for research projects in Valencian, Spanish and European level, among others.
