The Protected Designation of Origin “Priego de Córdoba” has received the first prizes of the 2017/18 campaign, after being awarded some of its oils in The Best Products Awards of the Natural Spaces of Andalusia.

Four companies protected under the prieguense seal of quality have obtained national recognitions with first fresh oils of the campaign 2017/2018, the first prizes of the season. Specifically, the firms have been awarded:

Rincon de la Subbética” of Almazaras de la Subbética, awarded with Special Mention.
Fuente Ribera” belonging to the company Manuel Molina e Hijos, which has also been recognized with Special Mention.
In addition, the firm “Extravagancia” of Grupo Tríade S.L., has been a finalist among the winners.
These awards to the best Andalusian products, are organized by the Andanatura Foundation, which this year 2017 has convened its 9th edition and among which highlights six categories: better cheese, better oil, better candy, better sausage, better rural accommodation and better experience tour.

Undoubtedly, these awards position us in the Andalusian sector with very good results for extra virgin olive oils with Priego de Córdoba PDO that ratify the excellence and high quality of the wines produced in the region, and that augur a good campaign 2017 / 2018.
