The Michelin Guide Spain & Portugal 2016 will be presented in Santiago de Compostela on 25 November. The Galician capital will thus become the epicenter of high-level restoration. The event takes place at the emblematic Parador Hostal dos Reis Católicos.

For the presentation of the new edition of the famous Michelin guide is the place chosen Santiago de Compostela, the Galician capital, in an effort to pay tribute to this culinary enclave.

If in the previous edition was chosen Marbella, the date the 2016 guide moves north, a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1985 city, “a meeting and mixing of cultures that crosses all borders” , say the creators of the Michelin guide. “Today, a thousand years ago, is an unavoidable destination for thousands of pilgrims and tourists from around the world who are attracted by its tourism, culture and gastronomy”.

Santiago de Compostela will become the 25th of November in the capital of gastronomy, bringing together the most renowned chefs. The distribution of the coveted stars will be announced at a gala at the Parador Hostal dos Reis Católicos.
