Female entrepreneurship as the central theme
Female entrepreneurship will be the main focus of this celebration, and the topic will be explored in depth during the roundtable held prior to the awards ceremony, titled “Women Entrepreneurs, Key to the Future of Agri‑Food Companies.” Participants will include Eva Serrano Clavero, vice president of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services; Amanda Aquino, founder and director of Business Women Región de Murcia; María Sánchez Ruíz, director of Food Distribution at ANGED; and Gissèle Falcón Haro, director of Siete Agromarketing.
The gala will be moderated by Marga López Polo, deputy director of Siete Agromarketing, and Rafael Daniel Pérez, director of elEconomista Agro. Both are seasoned professionals in agri‑food communication and national references in the sector. After the opening and before the awards ceremony, the event will feature a roundtable with leading figures from the business and institutional sectors.
2026 declared the International Year of Women Farmers
The year 2026 will be especially significant for the MujerAGRO Project, marking a full decade of work. Over these ten years, it has become a benchmark in the agri‑food sector and a pioneering model in its mission to advance real equality. The anniversary also coincides with the United Nations’ designation of 2026 as the International Year of Women Farmers.
The eighth edition of these awards—which recognize women, men, and companies committed to equality in agriculture, industry, and the entire agri‑food chain—has reached a record number of submissions, with 49 applications, particularly strong in the categories of Woman, Company, and Youth, due to the high number of projects presented.
This 8th Edition of the MujerAGRO Awards is sponsored by Onubafruit, Lainco Agro, Montosa, Cajamar Caja Rural, Sakata, and Certis Belchim. The event is also supported by fruit and vegetable companies such as Uniq, Vicasol, Eurosol, and UNICA Group, as well as the 5 a Day Association, and collaborators including ANIA and the Spanish Institute of Engineering (IIES).
