Spain: Rice harvest in urban gardens in Sociópolis for children

Valencian Farmers Association (AVA-ASAJA) and Agriculture and Environment Foundation of Valencia (FUVAMA), in collaboration with the Consell Agrari Municipal Valencia, organized on 15 October, the rice harvest ceremony in the park Urban Tower, known as Sociópolis.

Valencian Farmers Association (AVA-ASAJA) and Agriculture and Environment Foundation of Valencia (FUVAMA), in collaboration with the Consell Agrari Municipal Valencia, organized on 15 October, the rice harvest ceremony in the park Urban Tower, known as Sociópolis.

School of public school Manjón Father de la Torre, many of which hand and planted rice plants in June, know the key collection in both its traditional version as mechanized cereal by a practical demonstration by technical Sociopolis. He will also attend the Councillor for Agriculture and the City of Valencia Huerta, Consol Castillo, and leaders of FUVAMA and the Consell Agrari.
This activity is part of the collaboration agreement signed between AVA-ASAJA and the Consell Agrari Municipal, which allows to develop a project experimenting with new techniques for growing organic rice and new varieties.
