Spain: Oleoestepa, prize for the best extra virgin

The entity covered by the Designation of Origin Estepa, received the award Magrama the best extra virgin olive oil of the campaign 2014-2015 in a ceremony presided by the head Isabel García Tejerina. This distinction awarded annually Administration is considered the most important national and is one of the most prestigious internationally.

During the event, Andrés Aniceto Montero, president of the cooperative The Immaculate Conception of the Roda de Andalucía (Sevilla), belonging to Oleoestepa, received from the hands of the minister García Tejerina the award in the category of bitter green fruit, an award that recognizes the highest quality virgin extras produced by cooperatives Oleoestepa this season.

Upon receiving the award, the CEO of the cooperative Oleoestepa Alvaro Olavarría, he said, “This recognition reaffirms the commitment of the cooperative society to quality and excellence in producing the best extra virgin olive oil and stimulates us to remain committed to high quality project that was born almost 30 years ago.”

The extra virgin olive oil has awarded the seal of the Designation of Origin Estepa, the most demanding market in certifying an oil, and has been produced by the cooperative associated Immaculate Conception (La Roda de Andalucía, Sevilla).

Its development, from olives of the Hojiblanca variety, harvested early and made cold, gives a very fresh aroma, intense fruity green olive. Its aroma is reminiscent of fresh grass, green flavored olive leaf with hints of apple and artichoke, with elegant bitterness and sharpness.
Marketing for winning extra virgin Oleoestepa has launched a special edition with different formats in glass and cans, available to the public at large distribution channel, specialty stores and own store online.

This recognition of the best extra virgin this season puts the finishing touch to a room full of successes for Oleoestepa and sum total of 16 national and international awards campaign, including first prize in Expoliva 2015, the recognition of the best extra virgin ecological in Biofach (Germany) and those granted by the International Olive Council (IOC), which reinforce the leading position of Oleoestepa as the producer of extra virgin olive oil worldwide.
