SPACE will have a new CEO

Anne Marie Quemener was appointed Commissioner General of SPACE, and shall hold office from 1 January 2016. Graduated from the IPLV (Training Institute of Modern Languages) of Angers and the ESC (Business School) of Rennes in France, Anne Marie Quemener collaborates with SPACE since 1993.

He is responsible for the international development and communication for several years. He will succeed Paul Kerdraon, Commissioner General since 1996, will retire on 1 April 2016.

About SPACE

The SPACE 2015 is held at the Exhibition of Rennes from 15 to 18 September. They attended this 29th edition 106,226 visitors, including 15,042 international from 125 countries (118 in 2014). This slight drop in attendance due to the French visitors was more than offset by the significant increase in international visitors (+13% compared to 2014). Attendance of important delegations of Algeria, China, Egypt, Iran, India, Morocco and other countries around the world consolidated the SPACE in its aspect of “Animal Planet”.

With regard to the participation of exhibitors, 2014 records were again overcome: 1 449 exhibitors from 38 countries were present (compared to 1 428 in 2014), including 200 new companies. The increase was particularly notable foreign visitors, with 494 companies present (compared with 458 in 2014), ie 34% of all exhibitors. The surfaces of the stands and exhibition also registered an increase, with 69,576 square meters of net area (576 m more compared to 2014 and 1076 m more compared to 2013) in a total gross floor area of ​​116,500 sqm.
