The Camposol company leads the ranking of the main exporting companies of Peruvian berry, being the US market. The biggest destination.

During the first half of the year the company Camposol SA became the main Peruvian exporter of blueberries with placements worth US $ 26,160,000. The ‘Top 5’ was completed with Hortifrut – Tal SAC (US $ 20,341,000), Hortifrut-Perú SAC (US $ 11,209,000), HFE Berries Perú SAC (US $ 5,178,000) and Agrícola Santa Azul SAC (US $ 3,137,000).

According to information presented by the Agrodata Peru portal, this country exported between January and June 2019 a total of 14,887,753 kilos of the fruit for a FOB value of US $ 86,109,567. The figures reveal a significant boom from 8,558,733 kilos shipped abroad in the same period of 2018 for a value of US $ 50,275,869, that is, 72% growth.

What were the main destinations?

According to the source consulted, the main market for berry produced in Peru (in the first half of this year) was the United States, where sales of US $ 60,945,000 were achieved. The Netherlands were then placed with US $ 10,609,000, United Kingdom with US $ 8,676,000, China with US $ 2,683,000, Canada with US $ 1,296,000 and Spain with US $ 563,000.
