Scientists say that moderate wine consumption as part of a healthy balanced diet is like the Mediterranean diet improves our cognitive functions, despite the wear and tear due to the large number of anti-inflammatory agents and antioxidants it contains.
Furthermore, in the case of wine, the high presence of antioxidants in its composition reduces inflammation, prevent hardening of the arteries and inhibit clotting, improving blood flow.

It has also been shown that the polyphenols present in wine are very good to positively improve cognition of the brain and get better our mood and, consequently, reduce distress, anxiety and the likelihood of depression.

For this reason scientists give increasing importance to the prevention of brain health through good nutrition as a starting point. This fact helps us to maintain good brain health in the present and create a cognitive reserve for the future that will protect us from the symptoms of certain neurodegenerative diseases and slow the aging brain.
