The event will bring together professionals, growers, researchers and experts from the main European producing countries, and will be structured around two major complementary themes: an economic session, focused on market dynamics and the sector’s outlook, and a technical session, addressing the main agronomic challenges and innovations shaping the future of pear cultivation.
Economic session

- Changing markets: Pear marketing will be analysed through the sector’s key challenges and opportunities, with contributions from several European countries.
- Consumption: What levers can be used to promote European pears? Participants in a round table will discuss actions and strategies aimed at boosting competitiveness and consumption.
Technical session
A panel of experts will explore current agronomic challenges, from tackling climate change to implementing sustainable farming techniques, as well as varietal and technological innovation.
- Adapting: Climate‑change mitigation and crop‑protection strategies.
- Innovating within the rules: The phytosanitary regulatory framework and innovation prospects.
- New genetic techniques: Where do we stand today?
