Global Women Fresh (GWF) has unveiled further details of its upcoming event at Fruit Logistica, where the organisation will place a strong focus on inclusive leadership and sustainability within the global fresh produce sector.

As a specialised agri-food media outlet, ECA will inform on key meetings and discussions shaping the agenda at Fruit Logistica. In this context, and as part of the Sitagro Marketing team, ECA will give visibility to the event organised by Global Women Fresh under the Mujer AGRO label, reinforcing its commitment to promoting female leadership, gender equality and sustainability within the agri-food sector.

Through this editorial involvement, ECA highlights international initiatives that foster more inclusive and sustainable leadership models, bringing its audience strategic content, expert insights and relevant forums for dialogue that contribute to the future of the global fresh produce industry.

In collaboration with Fruit Logistica and the Import Promotion Desk (IPD), GWF will host a panel discussion followed by a networking breakfast designed to encourage dialogue and knowledge-sharing among industry professionals.

The panel, titled “From Pipeline to Power – Bridging Gender Equity and Sustainable Growth”, will explore the connection between gender-balanced leadership and long-term business resilience. The session will take place on Friday 6 February from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Insights Stage, Hall 21, Booth F-60.

According to Nuria Pizan, director of communications, marketing and PR for Global Women Fresh’s European Chapter, the initiative responds to an ongoing challenge within the sector.

“The event creates space for meaningful dialogue at a time when women remain underrepresented in strategic leadership roles, despite clear evidence that gender-diverse teams deliver stronger performance, better decision-making and more resilient business outcomes,” she said.

The event aims to bring together stakeholders from across the fresh produce value chain to exchange perspectives and reinforce the role of inclusive leadership as a driver of innovation and sustainability.

This year’s panellists are:

  • Kim Föllinger, senior central purchaser (Ultra Fresh), Kaufland

  • Theresa Ruperti, programme & partnership manager, Hanns R Neumann Stiftung

  • Sanne van Hees, director product business management, Driscoll’s

  • Cecilia Amador, regional sales manager, ProducePay

  • Priscilla Nasrallah, co-owner Lina Frutas & ESG Director, Abrafrutas
