The last edition of FIMA 2016 Organizing Committee has served to highlight the importance of the agricultural hall Feria de Zaragoza for the sector and put on the table the excellent figures that throws the 39th edition of the event. At the meeting, issues such as globalization, new technologies and good agricultural practices are addressed.
Chaired by Riccardo Angelini, the company New Holland, the session was attended by the Minister of Rural Development and Sustainability of the Government of Aragon, Olona Joaquín Blasco, who highlighted the role played FIMA reference to agriculture not only in Aragon but throughout Spain. It is, according Olona, ”the most important and most awaited by professionals in the field event,” he said.
The meeting served to officially present the new director of Feria de Zaragoza, Esteban Jorge Lorenzo, who wanted to express its appreciation to all the companies present, who said FIMA Zaragoza Fair will experience changes and modernization of its structure to provide Hall of agility and increased profitability. Also the commercial director of Feria de Zaragoza, Alberto Lopez, wanted to highlight the work and effort of the firms in the Committee and assured them that, before the end of this edition of FIMA, “We are already working on the 2018”. As for the figures of this call, Lopez stressed the sectoral host, since “today still get requests to participate,” which confirms the attractiveness of FIMA, which already occupies 17 hectares of land.
Regarding the technical innovations, announced that have been presented 108 innovations, representing 48 companies and represent an increase of fifty percent from the 2014 edition.
The creation of a job of FIMA was another issue discussed at the meeting. The aim of this initiative is that the participating companies have a hotbed of experience and curriculum that favors renewal and professionalism of the sector.
The technical seminars, the model of good practice for the professional visitor, the Excellence Award FIMA or actions related to national and international promotion were among the topics discussed at the meeting. One of the actions that attracted attention was the launch of a new APP for FIMA to offer any detailed and useful information for professionals. In the words of Lopez, the goal is to give content during the event and, in addition, work is needed to “be able to keep it alive and content beyond 20 February 2016”.
Other highlights in the last call before the Committee were INSTAFIMA FIMA aspects photography prize for visitors or potential Zaragoza Fair offers visitors to the show, traveling from different places by train or by plane.
