Extenda presents its Business antenna to thirty Andalusian companies in Ecuador

The ambassador of Ecuador and Secretary General of Economy encouraged to increase trade relations with the second destination and Andalusian exports in America. The event took place along a technical conference in which 36 Andalusian companies have participated and which have been shelled business opportunities it presents for the Andalusian companies which is already the second destination of sales from our community on the outside.

Ecuador’s ambassador in Spain, Miguel Calahorrano, and the secretary general of Economy and Chairman of Extenda, Gaspar Llanes, presented in Seville services Extenda Business antenna in the South American country.

Andalucía exported products to Ecuador in 2014 worth 321 million euros, 2.6% more than the previous year, a figure more than ten times higher than that recorded five years earlier, in 2009 (31 million). Thus, Andalusia stood as the first exporting community in this South American country, with 46% of total domestic sales.

Ecuador is therefore a priority market for Andalusia when betting on diversification of export destination, which increased 80% to America, to Africa 104% and 163% to Asia, reducing six points dependence on EU markets, despite these sales grow 65%.
Gaspar Llanes emphasized that the antenna will allow Ecuador to “a better field support to Andalusian companies, facilitating the increase in their trade relations.” Extenda foreign network currently serving in 32 countries through 26 offices, and aims to end 2015 reaching 34 countries, with the opening of South Africa and Portugal.

Ecuador was also the second destination of Andalusian sales in the Americas, with 10.2% of the total, only behind the United States, to which products were sold in the amount of 1,714 million euros.

The products most exported by the Andalusian companies to the South American country in 2014 were mineral fuels and oils, with 187.4 million euros (58.4% of the total), followed by aircraft and space vehicles, with 78.5 million , which means multiplying by 29 the number reported in 2013. fish, crustaceans and molluscs (26 million), machinery and mechanical appliances (7.4 million), food preparations are also sold.
