Issue number 28 of ECA Fruits Magazine—the fruit and vegetable publication by eComercio Agrario—is now available. This new edition kicks off 2026 with a focus on the productive, commercial and regulatory challenges facing the sector, in a context marked by pressure from international markets, sustainability requirements and the need to generate greater added value.

The issue opens with the Spain Exports Special, focused on Fruit Logistica, the major international trade fair to be held in Berlin, which will bring together representatives from more than 90 countries across the global fruit and vegetable industry. Alongside this special feature, the magazine includes a Berries Dossier, with a main report analysing what berry consumers are demanding today and how the sector is responding to these new expectations. It also features an Avocado Dossier, focused on crop development, markets, and production and commercial challenges.

The Vegetables section highlights innovation, plant health and agronomic management, while the Fruit Crops Special analyses trends in production, varieties and adaptation to a context shaped by sustainability and efficiency.

The magazine also devotes prominent space to the Citrus Special, with an analysis of the season and market situation, and to the Plant Health Special, which addresses the main phytosanitary challenges and available solutions for the sector in an environment of increasing regulatory demands.

ECA Fruits Ed. 28 also features exclusive interviews with institutional representatives and business leaders, who analyse the impact of international competition, tariffs and trade agreements on the future of the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector, as well as technical reports on plant breeding, new agronomic solutions and adaptation to climate change.

The issue is rounded out with a market trends analysis, opinion articles and an updated calendar of key trade fairs and events, consolidating ECA Fruits as a reference tool for producers, marketers and professionals in the agri-food sector.
