COEXPHAL and Verdiblanca join forces to achieve the integration of persons with disabilities in agriculture

Organizations Association of Fruit and Vegetables of Almería, COEXPHAL, and Verdiblanca Association of People with Disabilities, has this morning signed a collaboration agreement whereby both organizations are committed to working together to achieve the integration of persons with disability Almeria horticulture.

Juan Colomina, COEXPHAL CEO, and José Gómez Amate, president of Verdiblanca, have signed this agreement that will allow the implementation of joint actions and coordinated to carry out work in Almeria horticulture integration of people with disabilities. As stated in the agreement “COEXPHAL undertakes to inform its partners of the existence of collaboration with Verdiblanca and support the inclusion of those meeting the requirements to perform the jobs as required conditions. Meanwhile, Verdiblanca will make a pre-selection of suitable persons to perform the tasks in which they are to be engaged “candidates.

Verdiblanca is a non-profit organization that serves the community of people with disabilities. Working toward full inclusion and social and labor of people with disabilities through career guidance, vocational training and job creation through its PIOLA Plan (Integral Plan for Vocational Guidance) performing with the support of Bankia standardization. One of the priority actions of this Plan, in which this agreement is framed with COEXPHAL, refers to the study of labor needs and advice to Almeria business network and contact it to generate new employment opportunities in the group of disability .

COEXPHAL as sensitive to this reality entity, provides support services to its member horticultural companies. Among its objectives it is to ensure legal recruitment of labor and good working practices, promote the image of Almería through various marketing projects and external promotion. Last season COEXPHAL associated companies traded 2,120,000 tons 9,100 farmers cultivating 22,000 hectares. These gardeners employ more than 38,000 people from different nationalities.
