As BRANDT continues to grow its global business, the company is adding three proven, yet high-potential professionals to its international business unit.

Guilherme de Oliveira Rodrigues will join BRANDT on January 12 as commercial director for BRANDT’s Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa (EMENA) region; Rui Rodrigues will join BRANDT on January 19 as international business performance manager; and Marcos Loman will take the role of international agronomy director effective immediately.

G. Rodrigues and R. Rodrigues (no relation) will both report to Mauricio Andrião, Vice President, BRANDT International. Loman will continue as part of the BRANDT Discovery & Innovation team, reporting to Brian Haschemeyer, with a dotted line to Andrião.

G. Rodrigues will be responsible for leading sales operations across EMENA, driving strategic execution in alignment with local CEOs (where applicable), and ensuring profitability, sustainable growth, and regulatory compliance. He will play a key part in building a high-performing commercial organization that delivers both exceptional products and outstanding client service.

G. Rodrigues joins BRANDT with over 13 years of experience in plant nutrition and plant physiology. He brings a comprehensive understanding of the agricultural business across Brazil, Europe, Middle East and Africa. His career includes extensive work with a wide range of crop systems, from fruits and vegetables in the Mediterranean region to row crops across multiple regions.

“I am thrilled to work with Guilherme again,” said Andrião. “He and I have collaborated together to build innovative, farmer-centered agricultural solutions across key international markets for years.”

G. Rodrigues started his career in Brazil, where he held various roles of increasing authority at Stoller. He worked in the southern region of Brazil, mostly serving cooperatives growing soybeans, corn, wheat and rice. After he moved to north Brazil, he led a commercial expansion to grow business with big distributors and direct to big agroholdings. From Brazil, he moved to Spain to lead Corteva’s growth with biological solutions into key specialty markets. He was most recently Biologicals CU Leader for Africa and Middle East at Corteva Biologicals.

“Guilherme’s broad experience across different crops, markets, and cultures—along with his strong leadership and technical foundation—makes him the perfect fit to guide our commercial strategy in EMENA,” explained Andrião. “This appointment reinforces our commitment to sustainable expansion and delivering farmer-focused innovation across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, where he has a very good knowledge delivering proven results.”

G. Rodrigues graduated with a degree in Agronomic Engineering from ESALQ-USP University, and did a double degree program in France with the University ISARA-Lyon. He is finishing his MBA at EDEM Business School in Valencia.

“It is a great honor to join BRANDT at such an exciting moment for the company,” said Rodrigues. “I look forward to working with our teams and partners to support farmers and strengthen our presence across these diverse markets.”

Rui Rodrigues joins BRANDT after nearly four years as a management consultant at Roland Berger in Lisbon, Portugal. His new role will be to help drive efficiencies and implement strategies in BRANDT International.

At Roland Berger, R. Rodrigues was focused on implementing operational improvement solutions linking strategy, finance and management within international organizations. He worked across 15+ countries and in a variety of market segments, including telecommunications, oil & gas, health care, aviation, mobility as a service and automotive leasing.

R. Rodrigues will continue to be based in Portugal. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and Control from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

A two-year member of Team BRANDT already, Marcos Loman is being promoted to international agronomy director from his current position as strategic agronomy manager. In his current role, he focused on US and Brazilian agriculture. In his new role, he will work across all of the 80+ countries where BRANDT has business. He will continue to be part of the BRANDT Discovery & Innovation team with a dotted line reporting relationship to the VP of BRANDT International.

Loman is one of BRANDT’s shining stars. A polished speaker, published writer and innovative researcher, Loman has been developing product recommendations, input timing guidance and cropping best practices that help growers leverage technology and maximize return on investment.

“During this down cycle in the Ag economy, I’ve been focusing on helping growers not only survive, but to thrive by adopting new products and innovative practices,” said Loman. “This new role will enable me to take that level of thinking to our global audience of growers.”

Loman holds a PhD in Agronomy & Crop Science from the University of Illinois.

“I could not be happier with these three additions to the BRANDT International team,” said Andrião. “We are literally adding three rock stars who will help us deliver results for our retailer customers and their end growers. Let’s bring on 2026!”
