BASF reports that the fungicide is Signum® reference in its category against botrytis and sclerotinia, thanks to the action of boscalid and Pyraclostrobin, further provide improved benefits AgCelence® postharvest quality of lettuce.

AgCelence® BASF is the brand that identifies a series of products in addition to its excellent phytosanitary results provide positive physiological effects on the ground both during harvest as in postharvest, providing higher quality and higher yield in the crop .

BASF also has other AgCelence® solutions for growing lettuce, specifically for the treatment of mildew. Cabrio® Duo is an excellent fungicide for horticultural crops that combines the power of Dimethomorph in the prevention and control of mildew and the broad spectrum of Pyraclostrobin.

Both products provide, in harvest, higher performance and quality, and after harvest, improve conservation, contributing to an optimal state lettuce thanks to less weight loss and a reduction and delay in the onset of rot.

Security within seven days

BASF, in its program of applying fungicides, recommends using Signum® and Cabrio® Duo preventively when conditions for disease development (high humidity and mild temperatures between 15 and 25 ° C) are given. Although Signum® and Cabrio® Duo can be applied throughout the crop cycle of lettuce (from transplant to harvest), the right time for application is from the fourth or fifth true leaf unfolded (from BBCH 14 ) until harvest (from BBCH 49).

Always respecting the term product safety, which is 7 days for both. The time of greatest risk for the culture where it is more difficult to control these diseases is after hearting so that preventive treatments are vital to reach a healthy crop at the end of the campaign.

Thanks to various studies carried out by universities and specialized research centers, have been able to demonstrate the effects of Cabrio AgCelence® Signum® Duo® and postharvest lettuce.
They are delayed weight loss, reduced browning on the cut end of the stem and maintaining the sense of freshness of the lettuce.

All this a final product of higher quality and healthier, which provides security and producer competitiveness, improving the profitability of cultivation results.

Follow good agricultural practice

The maximum recommended Signum® and Cabrio® Duo in lettuce cultivation dose it is 1.5 kg and 2.5 kg / ha respectively. For a correct application in terms of dosage, number of applications, safety periods, disease control and resistance management, it is recommended to follow good agricultural practice approved by the Ministry of Agriculture in the official record of both products.

A common mistake is to apply preventive fungicides, as in the case of Signum® and Cabrio® Duo when the disease is already in development. The effectiveness of these products could be compromised if not implemented at the right time. Correct application of a preventive nature with products like Signum® and Cabrio® Duo provides security to farmers throughout the cultivation cycle of increasing productivity.

Duo Cabrio® Signum® and do not require specialized beyond the commonly used by farmers for the application of plant protection products machinery.

In short, Signum® and the AgCelence® Cabrio® Duo range are a good tool for success in the daily life of the farmer, allowing more production and better quality, which leads to better marketing of production and consequently increased profitability.
