The World Avocado Organization (WAO) continues to expand its global presence at the Michelin Guide star revelation ceremony. In this month of November, the avocado will be present in the edition for Belgium and Luxembourg, which will take place on the 18th.

In this event, the avocado will occupy a special place on the menu that the attendees will taste, thus reinforcing its title as the first fresh agricultural product in conquer the Michelin Guide.

“In the Belgium and Luxembourg edition, avocado will once again take a leading place during the event, which consolidates its fruit celebrity title,” said Xavier Equihua, CEO of WAO. “The fact that a fruit like avocado is present in the main gastronomic events worldwide highlights the current role that this superfood plays in the kitchens of the main restaurants anywhere on the planet.

” With the conquest of this new edition of the Michelin Guide gala, WAO continues to expand its alliance with the Michelin Guide, where it has previously been present in the editions of France, Great Britain and Ireland and even California. The world’s most recognized chefs already use avocado as the main ingredient in their gastronomic dishes. In our country, we have as an example Josean Alija, with a Michelin star, who prepared last June in the prestigious Nerua restaurant of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao an exclusive menu where avocado was the protagonist, on the occasion of World Month of the Avocado.
