Agrosevilla, one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of table olives, has acquired the Rioja‑based company Comercial Rioverde, a benchmark in Spain’s pickles and vegetable preserves sector. With this transaction, Rioverde becomes part of the Agrosevilla group, strengthening its strategy of growth, diversification and international expansion.
The acquisition will allow Agrosevilla to broaden its product portfolio and increase its presence in the pickles market, a segment experiencing growing demand both nationally and internationally. Likewise, the group’s global commercial network —present in more than 80 countries and with subsidiaries in the United States and Italy— will help drive the international expansion of the Rioverde brand.
The operation will also generate industrial and logistical synergies between the two companies. Agrosevilla will be able to leverage its production capacity and logistics network to optimise processes and reinforce the group’s operational efficiency.
For Agrosevilla, this acquisition represents an important step in its growth strategy and its consolidation as one of the main international operators in the agri‑food sector. The incorporation of Rioverde will strengthen its position in the pickles segment and expand its product offering in global markets.
Founded in 1976, Comercial Rioverde celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and holds more than 14% of the Spanish pickles market. The company will continue operating under its own brand identity and its specialisation in this segment.
