Portugal will hold the World Olive Oil Summit congress for the first time

Portugal will host for the first time the World Olive Oil Summit, a new international forum for the olive sector that will be held on June 7 and 8, 2018, wheres Santarém will be the hostess. This event, that will celebrate with the main thematic “Olive and Oil”will be held at the National Exhibition Center .

This congress, which is protected within the 55th National Agriculture Fair, includes a national contest of oils from Portugal and a wide range of presentations, round tables and activities on the olive sector, as reflected in its program preliminary.

WOOS has the support of an independent commission of entities linked to the sector, composed of AAR, AIFO, AOTAD, APPITAD, APABI, APH, CAP, CNEMA, Casa del Aceite, CEPAAL, FENAZEITES, INIAV and chaired by Prof. Doctor José Gouveia.

In addition, these two days will have the presence of national and international experts of the oil row and that includes the National Contest of Oils, the National Congress of Oil, the National Symposium of Olive Growing, an Exhibition of Award-winning Oils, Painting Exhibitions and Photography, Show Cooking actions for adults and children and the exhibition of films alluding to the theme.
