The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment participates in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2018, which takes place between January 17th and 21th at the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid. The Department has a stand of 360 square meters, located in Hall 9 of the fair, to publicize the wide possibilities offered by the conjunction of National Parks, Biosphere Reserves, Spanish cuisine and Natural Roads, through a tour of the Spanish geography, under the message "Travel through the landscapes and flavors of Spain".

To boost this value of the agri-food, Tejerina has advanced that the Government works in a new Strategy of Food of Spain, that takes into account the synergies that can be taken advantage of between the feeding and many other sectors, like the gastronomy, the tourism , culture, sport, education, the environment and health.

Throughout its three days of celebration, this fair has received more than 5,500 visitors and has allowed more than 2,100 meetings arranged from the national and international missions in which have participated 20 Spanish buyers and another 52 of 25 countries of highlighting those coming from the US, Canada, Brazil, Europe and Asia.
